Under 9's enjoy their new home
The sun was once again shining on Sutton U9
First home game of the season on a new pitch at Glusburn saw another great display from our future professionals.
The first five minutes were a little frustrating as we want a goal behind.
All the hard work had been done by JOE DEARLEY
but a lapse in concentration say him put the ball across the face of his own goal for the away team to take full advantage. 0 - 1 Nabwood Not to worry though JOE came up trumps late in the game. ( he won`t do it again! WILL YOU JOE?)
The scoring was opened by JOE WHITLOCK who after a lot of hard work on the left put a high ball in from virtually the corner flag which looped high over everyone into the far corner of the net. Did JOE mean it? Who cares. 1 - 1
Then JOE DEARNLEY made up for the first goal with a great volley from just outside the box. 2 - 1 Sutton.
All TOM`s hard work finally paid off with a great goal and in the later stages of the game took up postion in Defence along with JOSH LENG. Both of whom once again put in great performances and showed they can play anywhere on the pitch.
Second half goals from JOSH WALKER, JOE DEARNLEY and JORDAN who on his league debut for the club wrapped up a great win and with it earned the PLAYER OF THE WEEK TROPHY.
Good all around performances from HARRY, SAM in defence and LOUIS in goal the visitors were held at bay.
ETHAN played in a number of positions but had his best time out on the right and was unlucky not to score in the later stages of the game.
DAISY came on as sub late in the game having not played in the previous games and showed she can still get stuck in.
Great to watch. Good team effort.
Player of the Week JORDAN.
Final score 6 - 1
